Universal Foundation Model for Women & Children
We advance innovation across generations through our “Generations as a Service” vision, supporting the lives of women and children through digital innovation.
We are currently developing foundational AI models for women and children, together with medical devices built on these algorithms—all dedicated to their health. Our first initiative using this foundation model addresses preterm birth and stillbirth, two of the most complex and long-standing global challenges.
In this project, we are creating visualization technology that maps pregnancy status by analyzing multimodal maternal biomarkers with our proprietary AI foundation model. To validate this technology, we will conduct clinical studies to obtain biomedical data that routine clinical care cannot capture. Because such data cannot simply be mined from electronic health records, it must be collected intentionally—using a precision experimental device that we design and build in-house, across both hardware and software, and which has been approved by the university’s ethics review board—to explore the potential of early interventions for high-risk cases such as preterm birth and stillbirth.
Since our founding, we have achieved the world’s first proof of concept for the core hypothesis underpinning this model—developed independently on a rigorous medical and physiological basis—and presented some of these findings at the 2025 JSOG academic conference. Building on this progress, we are accelerating development and, throughout 2025, preparing multi-center studies in close collaboration with academic partners.
Looking ahead, we will continue to apply this foundation model to a broad spectrum of societal challenges beyond perinatal care. Projects focusing on neonatal and infant health, as well as fertility treatment, are already in scope, and we are strategically planning innovative technologies that support women and children at every life stage.
We believe our technology will revolutionize healthcare, ensuring that high-quality medical care is accessible to everyone—regardless of where they live or their circumstances.
We are fully committed to meeting this challenge on behalf of every woman and child worldwide.
