Physician with an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and a medical degree from Kyushu University. After serving as an obstetrician and gynecologist in Japan and gaining valuable experience at a domestic healthcare startup, he pursued a master’s degree in public health in the UK. He then worked as an obstetrician/gynecologist in Sierra Leone, one of the world’s poorest nations, where he managed a digital health project focused on pregnant women. This was followed by his involvement in a maternal and child health initiative in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Upon returning to Japan, he led the nutrition and health department at a domestic startup while continuing to practice as an obstetrician and gynecologist. In 2023, he founded nonat Inc., assuming the roles of CEO and Chief Clinical Research Officer, where he now leads the development of Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) within this deep-tech startup.
